POETIC ENLIGHTENMENT FOR THE SOCIETY

Opening statement

  1. I desire a future where the healing of humanity is not just a concept but an undeniable societal practice. (It isn't just about the individual, it starts with the individual and ripples into society - the work is always this.)

  2. I will utilise art as a medium to exercise our liberation for the advantage of emotional intelligence, collective well-being and environmental reconnection, renewal, and justice.

  3. I will use writing to explore the self, explore the emotional remnants of trauma in the physical body, and free conscious limitations on our true desires to reveal what hinders our healing, our lived experience, relationships with others, and participation in democracy.

I

FREEDOM Autonomy.

Facilitate moral, emotional, mental, and aesthetic freedom with the application of poetry. Assist in emancipating the mind and heart from traumatic attachments to the past and the overwhelming everyday reality to support our health and happiness.

II

ENLIGHTENMENT Pursuit of virtue.

Utilise the metaphor's power to apply diverse perspectives and uncover what is not apparent to stimulate open-mindedness, creativity and self-awareness to benefit the individual and society.

III

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
Awareness of self via healing.

Dedicate yourself to poetic practice as a creative and playful medium to explore and teach emotional awareness, intelligence and mindfulness. Let this work improve our relationships with ourselves, our immediate communities and everyone else.

IV

CREATIVITY Imagination is key.

Become a catalyst and celebrant of poetry to reveal the artist in everyone by exposing our innate creativity. Use poetry to break down the barriers of reason and devise a free, spontaneous, playful, and imaginative approach in expressing and translating our emotions and mental capacity.

V

PLEASURE Joy. Desire. Fulfilment. Happiness.

Support people in their desire to live joyfully using poetry as an aid to deprogramme our dispositions, enchant our experiences, explore our passions, and free our thoughts from societal censorship and economic expectation.

VI

AFFIRMATION Integrity and embracing innocence.

Apply unbridled dedication to poetry that is undeniable and humble by establishing an approach to the art form that is accessible — plan, research and practice methods that support peaceful validation amongst and between your communities. Receive the reward of recognition that enables you to contribute to society.

VII

PURPOSE Healing supports realisation.

Know that your experiences give your life purpose and meaning, that you can use your experience to improve your reaction in the present, that your actions and intentions give your life purpose and meaning, and that art can translate this like a metaphor to aid communal understanding.

VIII

ACTION Exercising our realisation.

Participate in the creation and the device of creativity to produce acts of radical self-care and community healing. Use this work to educate the establishment to recognise that creativity and happiness are necessary to benefit our mental and emotional health for social good.

XI

PRESENCE Understanding the impact of the past.

Awaken our inner creativity by facilitating the exploration of the mind through poetic practice. Use writing as a healing mechanism to understand the past's impact on our well-being and future. Work to bring awareness to our immediate reality to mediate our presence with integrity, empathy, happiness, understanding and confidence.

X

CONFIDENCE Unhindered reign for revolution.

Establish a method of creation where the individual alleviates themselves from pleasing everyone to the detriment of their well-being and ambition. Instead, through the written word, they develop self-confidence from recognising that their experience enriches their lives and those they interact with.

XI

COMMUNITY Taking care of our relationships.

Create a community that intends to uncover, understand, and document their trauma to better navigate society and the earth. Facilitate the creation of empathy for oneself to project healing and compassion into our relationships, immediate communities, culture, and world. Celebrate and perpetuate that audience participation in creating art is legitimate and desirable.

XII

LEGACY The practice of creation as liberation.

The legacy is the practice of emotional enlightenment via the written and spoken word. The legacy is an accessible guide to awakening the inner creative. The legacy is to explore the mind through playful creativity. The legacy is to recognise the impact of our lived experience. The legacy is to continue the teaching of emotional intelligence and the power of poetry.

TO END

Regeneration of the soul over the renewal of capitalism.

Make art that advertises, celebrates, and perpetuates the need for collective enlightenment, starting with an artistic approach to revealing individual resolve.
