Write a poem for your lover or friend <3 An alternative Valentine experience.

We have all wanted or imagined or contemplated - at some point - writing a love poem for someone we love during love season. It's with this energy I present a lovers&friends poetry workshop to help you pour your love for them into a work of art.

We'll begin the workshop with a heart-opening exercise and free-flow self-writing to set our intention to love, connect with our hearts, visualise our lover or friend, and invite the emotional and sensual energy of love to ignite our creativity.

We'll continue by responding to a series of writing prompts that give our connection and love a voice through metaphor and story. First, we'll explore the love we share, our fondest moments, our desire, dependency, and relational traits that attract us to each other to document our love.

We'll then go deeper into a more creative interpretation of our lover or friend through heartwarming and hilarious metaphor exercises guided by the poet and therapeutic practitioner Hayley Frances.

In the second part of the workshop, we'll edit our poems into works of art and mount them into frames as a gift to our lover or friend this love season.

The workshop includes feel good energy, guided meditations, free flow writing, intention setting, poetry prompts, biblio-poetry therapy, art supplies, frames, connection, refreshments & soundscapes inspired by the heart.
